Jewelry Care
We create pieces with an old world patina to show the burnished love we found in the originals, but occasionally you may want to polish your pieces to restore a bit of shine. Please keep the following in mind when caring for your Relica pieces:
The best way to keep your silver jewelry clean is to wear it. But if you don't wear it every day, keeping sterling and bronze (alloys which contain some copper and causes them to tarnish over time) in an air tight zip lock bag will preserve their appearance. We suggest removing your jewelry when coming in contact with water, lotions or perfumes - particularly any piece containing leather.
Sterling and bronze can be polished with a silver polish cloth. With each purchase we include a small polish pad that has a tiny bit of abrasion to it, so while it works well with silver and bronze, do not use it on plated pieces.
Please know that we love working with these metals and want to honor their individual properties and luster by not coating them. And plating to prevent the oxidation is a process that is harmful to the environment.
