Growing up in Central and South America gave me an appreciation for handmade objects. My mother and I call them "cositas", primitive eclectic treasures we picked up along the way. What I came to appreciate was the
organic nature and artful flourishes of pieces that are made by hand - the subtleties, imperfections and small inclusions that add interest. It's an aesthetic that connects you with the artist, with a story.
